Tell us which evening you want
Please say what the occasion is. An anniversary dinner, a business table and a card evening take different rooms and run at a different tempo, and knowing which you mean saves an exchange of messages.
If the date is tight, put a second option in the notes. We would rather offer you the Thursday than lose the week.

Before your visit
Is money played for in the card salon?
No. It is played exclusively with symbolic tokens that have no economic value and cannot be exchanged. We accept no stakes, keep no gaming cash desk, and pay out nothing in money or in kind. It is a sociable pastime among adults, no more than that.
What are the opening hours?
Wednesday to Sunday, kitchen from 18:30 to 23:30. The card salon opens after service on Thursday, Friday and Saturday and closes at one. Monday and Tuesday remain closed, except for arranged exclusive bookings.
How far in advance should one reserve?
For dinner we recommend a week, and two for Friday and Saturday. The card salon always requires a reservation, because there are only sixteen places. For the whole house we need three weeks.
Is there a dress code?
We ask for well-kept clothing — what you would wear to a dinner that mattered. Jacket and tie are not required, but we would rather avoid sportswear and trainers after eight.
Do you accommodate allergies and diets?
Yes, when told forty-eight hours beforehand. The kitchen works with set menus and rebuilding a course takes time. The menu from the garden is always available and contains no produce of animal origin.
What are the cancellation terms?
For dinners we ask for notice at least forty-eight hours beforehand, and seventy-two hours for the card salon and exclusive bookings. With forty-six seats, every table that frees up at the last minute stays empty all evening.
Do you take walk-ins?
Occasionally, early in the week, but we would not cross the city on the chance of it. The card salon never takes walk-ins.
